FENS EJN Award 2020
Call for nominations opens 1 November

This award is sponsored by the EJN’s publisher Wiley and is given in recognition of an outstanding scientific work in any area of neuroscience.

This is a personal prize of GBP 10,000. Candidates must be nominated by fellow neuroscientists (no self-applications accepted) and be either working in a European research institution or, if working elsewhere, be of European origin.

Deadline: 21 December 2018.

  • Understanding and targeting Alzheimer’s disease,
    5-8 May 2019, Rungstedgaard, North of Copenhagen, Denmark. 

    Co-chairs: Christian Haass (LMU Munich & German Center for Neurodegenrative Diseases — DZNE, Germany) and Beth Stevens (Harvard Medical School, USA).
    Applications open in November 2018.
  • Dynamics of the brain: temporal aspects of computation
    9-12 June 2019, Rungstedgaard, North of Copenhagen, Denmark. 
    Co-chairs: Gilles Laurent (MPI Brain Research, Frankfurt, Germany) and Ila Fiete (The University of Texas at Austin, USA). 
    Applications open in December 2018.

FENS Forum 2020 in Glasgow

FENS supports the African Society of Neuroscientists meeting 2019 (SONA)

FENS is providing travel grants to help young investigators, PhD or MS students to attend SONA conference 2019 (24-28 March) in Lagos, Nigeria.

These grants — up to EUR 1,000 each — are intended to cover the SONA 2019 registration fee and the associated travel expenses. The candidates should reside in a European country and be members of FENS.

Application deadline: 20 November 2018.
